Teamworks Team member of the month JULY Will Whatley AUGUST Allen Yoo Athletics During his two years at the WAC, personal trainer Will Whatley has become a favorite of members and staff. His positive energy, lighthearted manner, gregarious nature, knowledge, skills, and professionalism are attributes that make him stand out. ���In a short period of time, Will has become a leader for the personal training team, says Men���s Fitness Manager Bill Munn. ���He embodies the high-service standards of IT Administrator Born in Los Angeles and raised in Hawaii, Allen moved to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. Flash forward seven years, and he���s the go-to person for many of the computer and technical challenges around the Club. Wellness Manager Tamela Thomas says Allen is ���a consummate professional, timely, thorough, and always respectful.��� The SEPTEMBER Sara Moser WAC has nearly 200 computers���plenty to keep Allen busy. Team members in need of assistance appreciate Allen���s approachability. He may be tech-savvy, but he understands that others aren���t. ���When he sees an issue that should be addressed, he moves to take care of it,��� Tamela says. Adds IT Director Brian Acuff: ���I���d need a lot of time to elucidate everything Allen does well. I like and respect him, and he���s a great attribute to the WAC.��� Athletics Personal trainer Sara Moser can be found in the Coed and Women���s Fitness departments. Her positive attitude and smile radiate health and make her one of the Club���s busiest trainers. Fitness Manager Megan Usui says Sara truly expresses passion for holistic fitness. ���She makes sure clients build a solid foundation to increase strength and flexibility at a pace that is comfortable yet challenging,��� Megan says. 26 | Washington Athletic Club Magazine | JANUARY 2013 the WAC.��� Fitness Manager Megan Usui calls Will selfdriven yet easygoing. ���He���s a strong visionary leader and a generous team player, at once hilarious and humble,��� she says. Will offers one-on-one and group training. He also teaches classes and offers specialized training for football, basketball and other sports. ���Will strives to build camaraderie among the personal training team, knowing that team unity leads to the kind of legendary member service that creates a positive buzz in the Club and beyond,��� Megan says. ���She also stays on top of fitness trends, constantly keeping her fitness education current and relevant.��� Her genuine interest in guiding members toward their goals through encouragement and training has resulted in a loyal following and respect from members and WAC team members alike. ���Sara exemplifies the essence of true professionalism,��� adds Club Programs Event Coordinator Cheryl Simmons. ���Her positive and gracious demeanor make her a great team member.���
