Join us in a live-action arena for the WAC���s 16th annual boxing invitational on Saturday, January 26. The Main Event is one of the most prestigious collegiate boxing events in the country and attracts top boxers from U.S. military academies and colleges across the nation. In 2012, the card included our first-ever female match and 2012 Olympian Dominic Breazeale, a super heavyweight. ���The Main Event has become a tradition like no other at the WAC,��� Vice President Athletics Wayne Milner says. ���The elegance of a black-tie event in combination with the power and athleticism of our nation���s best college boxers���along with great food, beverage, and world-class entertainment���make for an evening that is sure to create memories.��� The night begins at 6 pm in the Crystal Room with dinner and entertainment by comedian Don Friesen. Friesen, a two-time winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, recently performed in a one-hour comedy special on Showtime. After dinner, the action continues in the 8th Floor Gym, which will be completely transformed. We���ll have it all���the lights, the music, VIP ringside seats, an announcer, and eight to 10 action-packed bouts.
