Samantha Pabon, Jaclyn Hargin, Lindsay Taylor, and Amy Kendall make up part of the WAC Catering team. Meet Jaclyn and others online (see sidebar). Q. What is your favorite WAC event to work on? Amy: Jubilee! e monthslong planning process is such a labor of love, and it takes the whole building to pull off. It's truly a team effort. Samantha: Jubilee or multiday meetings that provide a holistic experience for our clients that want to use multiple services at the Club. Lindsay: Weddings. I enjoy being part of such meaningful moments and getting to know the families. Q. What's the best part of catering? Samantha: Bringing new business to the WAC. I love booking new clients and bringing their needs to life. Amy: I am a huge people person and being able to meet and connect with members makes the job for me! Lindsay: My favorite part is being part of such special moments and building relationships with my clients. Q. What's your dream event to work on? Lindsay: A large, themed celebration that brings families together through music, art, and interactive activities. Amy: e ESPYS! All the athletes are so admirable and putting on a fantas- tic show would be the experience of a lifetime. Samantha: A Hollywood awards show aerparty or a national championship party where a Chicago team wins! Q. What's the hardest part of your job? Amy: Changing the perception of downtown Seattle. is is a special city. Samantha: When we can't accommodate a request. at rarely happens, and we are good problem-solvers. But not being able to say "yes" is tough. Lindsay: Making the puzzle fit by matching the right space to each group. Q. What's the most rewarding part of your job? Lindsay: Watching the magic unfold, seeing happy guests, and having every- thing come together perfectly. And I love getting to know my clients along the way. Samantha: My job is ultimately really fun! I enjoy working with others. Amy: Seeing the team we've built work together, from sales to operations.
