16 WAC Magazine | wac.net taste catering Behind the scenes Get to know the team helping create Club memories one event at a time Lindsay Taylor Catering Sales Manager Lindsay Taylor has a long history working in Seattle's hospitality indus- try, starting at Charlie's on Capitol Hill, where she began tending bar back in 2004. Originally from tiny Chestertown, Maryland—population 5,500—Lindsay came to Seattle on vacation more than 20 years ago and never le. "e sum- mer made me stay!" she says. Like Samantha, she started at the WAC in 2024. "e WAC has such a rich history," she says. "at attracted me to this role as well as the opportunity to work on a wide range of events." Lindsay's love for Seattle has only grown, a passion she shares with her kids, 11-year-old Fiona and 8-year-old eo. e trio enjoys exploring Wash- ington's waterfalls, mountains, beaches, parks, and ferry routes. Lindsay also gardens, paddleboards, and spends time with her family's two dogs, cat, and flock of chickens. Amy Kendall Director of Catering Amy Kendall grew up in Chicagoland. When a relationship brought her west to Seattle in 2020, she got into the hos- pitality industry at Reuben's Brews. She moved over to the WAC in early 2024. "I was immediately drawn to the Club because it's an iconic Seattle institu- tion," she says. "e chance to work somewhere that drives positive change in our community is very rewarding." Amy leads catering sales and ban- quet operations, a team she calls "the unsung heroes who execute everything." When she's not planning seamless events, Amy plays volleyball and is passionate about supporting Seattle sports. Hospitality is also a family affair. Her fiancée runs the food and beverage program at Woodland Park Zoo! Samantha Pabon Catering Sales Manager Also raised in Chicago, Samantha Pabon relocated to Seattle in 2015 to work at Nordstrom. She then served as Director of Sales for European Soaps, a role that required regular travel and time away from family. In summer 2024, she saw the opportunity to stay put in her work life and applied with the WAC's Catering department. "I had previous experience in private dining sales, and I'm passionate about people and events," she says. Samantha coaches fourth grade girls basketball at St. Francis of Assisi School and leads her 10-year-old daughter Mackenzie's Girl Scout troop. She also volunteers at her children's ballet shows. Mackenzie and 8-year-old Hudson are both avid dancers. At the WAC, Samantha focuses on bringing new business to the Club. "I love showcasing our historic space and amaz- ing team," she says.
