WAC ARTIFACT
Hot off the press
ese letterpress printing blocks built early copies of WAC
News. Since the Club's inception in 1930, there has always been
a member dispatch. Back then, broadsheet paper announced
hard-hitting bulletins, such as the installation of "Four new
apple vending machines stocked with Yakima and Wenatchee
fruit," a missive featured in an October 1931 issue. Celebrity
sightings made the pages, too, with a July 1954 newsletter fea-
turing a visit from none other than television star Ed Sullivan,
who attended an athletics award banquet at the Club. Members
must have been in for a "really big shew" that evening! Now-
adays, WAC Magazine is your source for everything exciting
around the Club ... along with email announcements and the
WAC app, of course!
