Brain trust WAC member Dr. Sureyya Dikmen won the 2016 Jennet Plum Award from the International Brain Injury Association for Distinguished Scientific Contribu- tions to the field of traumatic brain injury. Sureyya is a professor at the University of Washington, where she works in the departments of reha- bilitation medicine, neurological surgery, and psychiatry and behavioral sciences. Sureyya was honored for making important and historic research contributions to the field of traumatic brain injury. She has been a member since 1991 and works out regularly at the Club. Starstruck 1947—Silver screen stars Gregory Peck and Laraine Day brought their nationally ac- claimed theater production of Angel Street to the now- defunct Metropolitan Theatre in Seattle. After performing a two-week run at the downtown playhouse, Peck and Day were guests at a WAC theater party. Both actors were accompanied by their spouses. The WAC's Ed Moore collected their autographs, and WAC News ran their photos.
