A Club tradition for the past 87 years, Jubilee sparkled with holiday finery as the lobby came alive at 7 pm. Partygoers were met with a friend- ly barrage of attention and the flash of paparazzi cameras as Hollywood premiere-night medleys played. e crowd filled the lobby, corks popped, bubbly flowed, and herald trumpeters took the stage to announce President & CEO Chuck Nelson, who welcomed a sold-out crowd of more than 750 members and guests to the party. Chairman of the Board Paul Ravetta then raised his glass for the biggest group toast of the season and announced the Jubilee grand prize winner—member Mike Wood, the new owner of a 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA250. With the evening in full swing, revelers celebrated the Univer- sity of Washington's Pac-12 championship win—the title game took place the same night—with confetti-popper salutes. e milestone celebration marking the WAC's 87th year contin- ued into the wee hours with libations, fabulous food, casino gambling, music, dancing, late-night sweets, and later-night breakfast. Grand prize winner Member Mike Wood won the Jubilee 87 grand prize—a 2017 Mercedes-Benz CLA250. Mike's name was selected at random by WAC Chairman Paul Ravetta. Mike joined the WAC in 1993 and enjoys sharing the Club with his wife, Jennifer, and their three daughters.
