With so much conflicting information available, it's easy choosing the wrong habit for your goal without even realizing it." Wellness 360 aims to change that. Ongoing Wellness 360 services will be designed through personal consultation. wac.net/wellness-360 Instructor insights Scott Miller | Pilates Scott Miller found his love for fitness while dancing in New York City during those brief years that follow high school. He moved to the city from a small industrial town on the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border. "I was always into sports— football, hockey, lacrosse," Scott says. "It was as a dancer that I discovered my true passion for fitness. I felt intense vitality being in peak condition." Scott moved to Seattle in 1991. He received his massage license in 1993 and started teaching Pilates in 2007. "e thing I like about working with WAC members is they are so aware of the link between health and fitness," Scott says. "ey understand the investment needed to stay healthy and are willing to do what it takes to achieve their goals." Outside the studio, Scott stays fit skiing, hiking and cycling. He still dances and also studies Wing Chun, a Chinese martial art. He recently traveled to St. omas in the U.S. Virgin Islands following the death of his mother, Loretta, who dedicated her life to serving others as a nurse and health care administrator. Shortly before her death, she received a doctoral degree. "As people were telling their inspiring stories about her, I realized how much she inspired and empowered me," Scott says. "I never understood what she loved so much about the island. But I soon discovered why she loved it there. She had friends and a community that made her feel valued, want- ed and accepted.
