IN THE KNOW NEW The Best of Seattle Now & Then with Paul Dorpat and Jean Sherrard Tuesday, October 18 Popular documentary photographer, historian and author Paul Dorpat has written his weekly Now & Then column for Pacific NW Magazine for over three decades. Since 1982 he has paired a historical photo of Seattle with a present- day photo from the same viewpoint and told the story of what was happening in the past and in the present. Dorpat has published a dozen books, including three volumes of regional photographic comparisons drawn from his column. In 2004, photographer Jean Sherrard began collaborating with Dorpat and contributing current photos to his work. Together, they plan to release the book e Best of Seattle Now & en. We are pleased to have them at the WAC for a preview of some of their best images. Enjoy Dorpat's dry humor and lively commentary from Sherrard during this entertaining and enlightening evening.
