Parents of children enrolled in Saturday Junior Programs will receive a punch card for reduced WAC Garage parking rates: $4 for three hours, $6 for four hours. L E S S O N R E G I S T R A T I O N I N F O R M A T I O N : Spring Session II: April 30–June 11 Registration began at 9 am on Monday, April 18. All classes take place Saturdays, 8:30 am–12 pm. Summer Session I: July 9–August 20 Registration begins at 9 am on Monday, June 13 All classes take place Saturdays, 8:30 am–12 pm. Contact the WAC pool if you need assistance: swimlessons@wac.net, 206.464.3086 SWIM LESSONS Tiny Tots (Ages 6 months–3 years) 30-minute lessons Children learn water adjustment, play games, and sing songs. Parents learn elements of water safety and the swimming progressions to help their children become lifelong swimmers. Each child must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Saturdays: 11:25 am Preschool (Ages 3–5) 30-minute lessons Preschool 1: Brand new swimmers! This class is designed to help kids become comfortable in the water. All skills are performed with a teacher. Preschool 2: Comfort in the water with an instructor, but minimal independent swim skills. Learn breath control and swimming on front and back with assistance. Preschool 3: Swimming three yards on front and back. Good breath control. Establishing foundations for crawl stroke and elementary backstroke. Preschool 4: Swimming seven yards on front and back. Comfort in deep water. Technical foundations for breast stroke, crawl stroke, and elementary backstroke. Youth (Ages 6+) Levels 1–6 & FAST Level 1: Beginners or those learning comfort in the water. Minimal independent swim skills. Learn breath control and how to swim on front and back. Level 2: Swimming five yards on front and back. Good breath control. Establishing foundations for crawl stroke and elementary backstroke. Level 3: Swimming 10 yards crawl stroke. Comfort in deep water. Technical foundations for breast stroke, crawl stroke, and elementary backstroke. Level 4: Swimming 13 yards crawl stroke with side breathing. Endurance to swim the length of the pool on front and back. Developing technique for butterfly and backstroke.
