From cannon-toting Pirates to Blue Angels pilots, WAC members have the inside track on Seattle's premier festival. Expect a treasure chest of swashbuckling fun all summer long. Seafair officially kicks off on June 10, but for many Seattleites the Seafair Pirates' landing at Alki Beach on June 27 fires the true opening salvo. This year's theme: Seize the summer! "That pretty much says it all," says WAC Vice President Membership & Mar- keting Michelle Pinson. "There's no better time to live in Seattle than summer—long days, wonderful weather, and Seafair there to anchor it all." By now, most WAC members are used to seeing the Blue Angels around the SUMMER SEIZE THE S E A F A I R D E L I V E R S Clubhouse during Fleet Week. The WAC has hosted the U.S. Navy flight demonstra- tion squadron for more than two decades. The WAC is also the official athletic club of the Seafair Triathlon, and Club mem- bers receive prime access to the annual Torchlight Parade, one of the city's most honored traditions.
