Circus Oz at The Moore Theatre Friday, February 6 Direct from Australia, Circus Oz brings But Wait … ere's More, an astonishing mix of stunt-jumping acrobatics, cutting- edge juggling, virtuosic unicycling, elegant trapeze flying, the exciting Rou Cyr rim, cheeky impersonations, ridiculous knock- about, and multi-skilled human physical exuberance. But Wait … ere's More uses circus to present satirically the rising tide of information, speed, consumerism, visual pollution, television, the internet, and today's manic fast-paced lifestyles. All of this intertwines with original music per- formed by Circus Oz's live and physically acrobatic band. The Seattle Symphony ends its season with a tribute featuring Ellis Hall, a former protégé of Charles. In 2001, Hall met the legendary musical icon. Charles was so taken with Hall's performance power that he took the artist under his wing. The following year, Charles signed Hall as the only other artist on his label, Crossover Records. Following the death of Charles, Hall created shows in his honor—calling them A Tribute to Ray Charles, Motown And Beyond—and per- formed with symphonies around the world. Come enjoy Hall's tribute to the master in a concert filled with Charles' soulful hits, including "I Can't Stop Loving You," "This Little Girl of Mine," "Hit the Road Jack," and "Georgia on My Mind." 8 pm; $63, $72 Pink Martini with the Seattle Symphony at Benaroya Hall Thursday, January 22 WAC favorite Pink Martini is a sensational "little orchestra" from Portland, Oregon, that has become something of an international phenomenon.
