That quote will certainly apply to our perfect pairing of light opera and Italian dinner at Ristorante Picolinos in Ballard. Artists from Public Opera will perform favorite arias as you bask in the warmth of Picolinos' Old World ambiance while dining on authentic Italian cuisine. Our WAC platinum package includes a private social in Picolinos' heated Winter Garden with hors d'oeuvres and Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine), and preferred seating in the Main Salon for a three-course dinner enhanced by live operatic medleys. Start with a salad of seasonal mixed greens tossed in a light balsamic vinaigrette and then select a classic pasta entrée. For dessert, enjoy platters of European sweets accompanied by a refreshing limoncello cordial. Interspersed throughout the courses, the singers' voices will hold you in rapture. It's up to you to decide whether the music, the food, or the restaurant is the star of the evening. This romantic pre-Valentine's night of beautiful music, delightful dinner, and a rich Italian setting is not to be missed. Wine and cocktails available on an individual-pay basis. 6:30 pm; $60; cancel by February 6 ferry or in Winslow.
