Asia—from the architectural marvels of
Singapore to the bustling nightlife and
irresistible cuisine of ailand.
With three WAC reciprocal clubs,
ailand's capital of Bangkok includes
the eye-catching gold towers of the
Grand Palace, built in 1782 and a must-
see for any first-time visitor, along with
the Buddhist temples Wat Arun and Wat
Pho, the latter of which features one of
ailand's largest Buddha statues. For
the city's best street food, make your way
to Khao San Road for pad ai, pad see
ew, and mango sticky rice. en indulge
in a bowl of boat noodles from the aptly
named Boat Noodle Alley, where a dense
line of restaurants has taken the place of
boat-side service.
Traveling south to the sovereign
city-state of Singapore, you'll encounter
some of the world's most recognizable
architecture, highlighted by the iconic
Marina Bay Sands resort complex, a
giant mash-up of the Roman numeral III
and a cruise ship suspended in midair.
Inside, you'll find a canal, the SkyPark
Observation Deck, the ArtScience
Museum, and a jaw-dropping infinity
pool that overlooks the city.
Along with its densely concentrated
population, Singapore offers a variety
of parks, including Gardens by the Bay,
whose giant artificial trees will leave
you in awe. Across the island, don't miss
the Singapore Zoo, widely heralded as
the best rainforest zoo on the planet
and home to a variety of threatened
primates.
