For on-the-go members looking to start the day right, the space introduces a revamped coffee shop where members can grab their favorite morning beverage and choose from a variety of pastries and snacks. Beer, wine, and other grab-and-go eats will also be available throughout the day. Along with bringing new buzz to the lobby, 1930 also delivers natural light by way of seven new windows that were previously boarded over. Counter seating along the windows offers city views and a great place to catch up on work or just relax. Plus, chic light fixtures and dark wood flooring lend a sophisticated touch to the space that inspires both creativity and productivity. "Transitioning this area of the lobby into a premium work and gathering space is an exciting addition," WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson says. "I feel like we did it in an elegant fashion with a modern adaptation of the traditional look and feel of our historic Clubhouse." Need a little privacy? A reservable room inside 1930 dubbed e Study offers the perfect place to meet with a small group or take a video conference. "Our hope is that members who spend any time working remotely will combine their work with other opportunities the Club has to offer," Chief Operating Officer Wayne Milner says. Wayne worked closely with the archi- tect and construction teams to plan and execute the vision for 1930. One of the key components of the new space is a connection with the historic Voogd Library, which previously required entering via the Johnson Lobby Lounge.
