Since then, she has been promoted to guest experience supervisor. Inn at the WAC General Manager Kamil Turczanski calls Amber "caring, engaged and responsi- ble." Amanda Widdice, Senior Manager Hotel Revenue & Guest Expe- rience Operations, echoes this sentiment. "Amber possesses genuine empathy, and this translates to her excellent service," Amanda says. "We wouldn't be where we are without her leadership and dedication." Manager of the Quarter | Club Shop Manager A team member since 2017, Mark Alexander makes sure the Club Shop is a one-stop shopping destination for everything from your morning coffee to your after-work bottle of wine—along with a fun mix of clothes and gifts. "Mark is caring, organized and creative," says Wayne Milner, Senior Vice President Athletics, Special Projects & Community Partners. Recently, Mark also took over management of the laundry department. He says he appreciates all the support he receives from team members in every department. "I'm consistently amazed by the eager and genuine cooperation between everyone working at the WAC," Mark says. "It's very gratifying." July 2018 | Pilates Instructor Danielle Ortiz joined the WAC fitness team after completing her Pilates teaching certificate in 2016. "Danielle exemplifies teamwork and genuine member service," says Fitness Programs Manager George Sommerrock. She teaches Pilates classes, leads private sessions, and also contributes to the Wellness 360 coaching staff. Danielle says she chose Pilates because of the critical role posture plays in daily life. "I am so thankful to work in a place with amazing people, opportunities, and encouragement," she says. August 2018 | Women's Fitness Front Desk Attendant A team member since 2013, Rose Bernardo enjoys getting to know members and helping them every day in her role as a front desk atten- dant. Her warm spirit, devotion, and commitment to her job make her a role model for her peers. "Rose brings her 'A game' to every shift," Women's & Coed Fitness Manager Maureen Eggers says. "Her focus is always on the members. She's just amazing." In addition to her positive attitude, Rose is known for her willingness to go above and beyond for anyone she encounters.
