NOVEMBER / DECEMBER 2018 29 club life team member appreciation Saying thanks to the WAC team Annual appreciation fund honors those who enrich our quality of life By Jennifer Porto HR & Benefits Committee Chair For me, the Wash- ington Athletic Club is a home away from home, a place to work out, a place to unwind a!er a long day, and a place to spend time with family and friends. As the holidays approach, I am reminded of the many good times and memories made at the WAC this year. I can't help but think that these experiences wouldn't be possible without our valued team members. Behind every meal, workout and event is a WAC team member who takes pride in making the experience great. In appreciation of our WAC team members, one of the most treasured traditions is the annual Team Member Appreciation Fund. "is month, you'll see a $50 charge on your member billing statement earmarked for the fund. You may give as much or as little as is comfortable for you, or you may opt out. Team members receive their apprecia- tion checks every December during the Team Member Holiday Party. "e Team Member Appreciation Fund is greatly appreciated by the team members, especially because it comes directly from us, the members, in honor of their service to our club. Whatever it is that makes the WAC special for you, I guarantee that a team member is behind that experience.
