New fitness equipment and cold therapy come to the WAC Club fitness areas received some awe- some new equipment this spring. Cardio gear from Precor, additional Pilates reformers, and an EGYM strength-train- ing system bring fresh ways for members to work out. e EGYM system, located in Coed Fitness on the 4th Floor, includes a cus- tom profile for each user and adjusts to fit your personal settings, range of mo- tion, goals, and more. Get started with this high-tech and interactive way to work out when you meet with a fitness staff member for your first onboard- ing session. ey'll guide you through building your profile and connecting to the WAC's custom EGYM app on your phone. "We're very excited to bring EGYM to the WAC," Chief Operating Officer Wayne Milner says. "e equipment of- fers a personalized, advanced approach that will help members more easily meet their fitness and wellness goals." Also new to the Club—IceVaults! ese cold-therapy chambers are slated for installation in Men's and Women's Fitness this summer and add an ad- ditional option for those looking to experience the wellness benefits of low temperatures. Cold exposure is widely used by athletes and fitness enthusiasts for recovery benefits and post-workout comfort. IceVaults provide full-body cold stimulus in a dry environment be- tween 30–40 degrees. at's substantially warmer than the current cryotherapy chamber on the 4th Floor but still cold enough to deliver serious benefits. "Members kept telling us they wanted cold therapy that was easier to access," Wayne says. e new IceVault locations will put them in easy proximity to sau- nas, steam rooms, and hot tubs, making hot-cold therapy easier than ever."
