34 WAC Magazine | wac.net Another great year ahead Thanks to you, the WAC keeps getting better By Michelle Pinson, VP Membership & Marketing Energy. Comfort. Activity. Upgrades. Satisfaction. Appreciation. All of this is happening in abundance at your Club, according to your responses to our recently conducted member satis- faction survey. e survey revealed consistently positive references to our WAC team members—and how those team mem- bers enhance member satisfaction with the Club. Survey questions about cul- ture, atmosphere and communication all achieved a 95 percent "agree to strongly agree" response and revealed that the Club adds to the happiness and relax- ation of our members. Members recognized and appreciated the improvements made to food and beverage offerings and gave high marks to our continuous facility upgrades. e feedback received—and the daily feed- back we get through WAC Listens (waclistens.com)—is valuable and re- veals deep engagement and investment by members who genuinely care about this club. It also provides us with con- structive insight we take to heart and use to help shape future refinements. As members, you are the drivers and keepers of the WAC's culture and com- munity. You are the essence of the Club. Your care shows in the 663 new mem- bers you encouraged to join the WAC this past fiscal year. Among you, there are 17 members who sponsored three or more new members during fiscal 2016– 2017. ese Membership All-Stars will soon be honored on a new All-Star wall near the Member Services desk on the lobby level. ank you to each of them, and to all our members who consistently tell others why they love the WAC. Speaking of the lobby Member Ser- vices desk, the new location has received great feedback, and members' frequent visits have made the location a resound- ing success. Members love the visibil- ity, accessibility and ease, and we look forward to adding more services there in the near future. Updating your information As we start another active and exciting fiscal year at the WAC, we ask you to do two things that will help pave the way for new programs that will add incredi- ble value to your WAC membership: 1. If you are the primary member on your WAC account, please stop by Member Services in the lobby to update the information we have on file for your account. It will take less than a minute to verify or amend your information. 2. Sign up for the new online mem- ber-only business directory. All members receive a complimentary basic listing; premium listings are just $25 a month. e directo- ry launches in September and is reinventing the way WAC members connect and find the professionals they need. Sign in to wac.net and visit wac.net/business-directory. Finally, the WAC recently hosted a con- ference of private club membership and marketing professionals from a select group of our reciprocal clubs. It was a productive and fun week. Two specific things stood out. e first was a comment I heard repeatedly: "From the minute you walk in, you get a sense of the Club." It's a reference to the warmth, energy and activity immediately apparent upon entering the Clubhouse. e second was my experience planning this multiday conference with our Catering and Inn teams. Watching this group of WAC professionals execute a complex vision with expertise and enthusiasm gave me a great feeling of pride and reminded me of the magic of the WAC. I hope you'll take my advice and plan your own group events here. I guarantee our team will help you knock it out of the park. Here's to another great WAC year! & 2016–2017 membership marketing
