Nearly 350 members and guests attend the annual Mother's Day buffet brunch in the Crystal Ballroom. Members swim, bike and run their way through the inaugural adult indoor triathlon. The annual Special Olympics Washington Powerlifting Invitational returns to the Clubhouse. The WAC's men's soccer team wins the Greater Seattle Soccer League Division 1 spring championship. Club Programs' 10th annual Scavenger Hunt on Lake Union draws 72 members and guests, including 61 first-timers! Ilona Maher of Quinnipiac University and Bryce Campbell of Indiana University receive the Sorensen & Scholz Collegiate Rugby Player of the Year awards at the WAC. Vice President Operations Bill Cohen retires after more than 30 years at the Club. The WAC premieres an all-new video (vimeo.com/thewacseattle/anthem) celebrating the vitality and diversity of our Club's community. Torchy's restaurant undergoes renovations, receiving new lighting, flooring, paint, and other upgrades that set the table for the next generation of WAC dining. The WAC's Wellness 360 program wins the North American Association of Club Athletic Directors Health & Wellness Program of the Year Award. APRIL MAY JUNE JULY Member Blake Hilty wins the Rock 'n' Roll Seattle Marathon. WAC Juniors Summer Camp: All About Sports leads youth ages 6–12 on four days of adventure around the city and in the Clubhouse. The WAC's newly formed men's rugby 7s team begins competition, opening with an undefeated run in its first tournament. The WAC men's AA team wins a national basketball championship.
