6 WAC Magazine | wac.net from the Chairman and President & CEO Following in great footsteps It is a great honor to serve as your Chairman. ere is an additional honor for me to follow in the footsteps of Past Presidents Don Covey (1981), Don Kra (1988), and Mason Sizemore (2002). Covey was my Cub Scouts cubmaster so many years ago; Kra and I are fraternity brothers; and Sizemore was a fellow parishioner at our much-loved University Temple United Methodist Church. I look forward to an exciting year at the WAC, working with member leaders and team members to continue the excellent growth, increase in member engagement, and high-energy atmosphere around the Club! I joined the WAC as a "Senior 20s" member with fellow fraternity brothers a few years out of the University of Washington. e Club has been a constant for me ever since and has been instrumental in strengthening and building lifelong relationships that have been beneficial in all parts of my life. It is my home away from home, my base of operation. I would like to recognize President & CEO Chuck Nelson and his team for an outstanding job of keeping the WAC relevant to the emerging needs of members while keeping the traditions and values on which the Club was founded intact. It has been a privilege to work with Immediate Past Chairman Paul Ravetta and Past Chairman Tammy Young. e experience gained is invaluable. ank you for your leadership, and I look forward to your continuing counsel. I encourage all WAC members to explore member leadership and to experience the tremendous benefits our club provides. Try something you've never done before! Together, we will have a fantastic year.
