If you want to be part of the in-crowd, you can call it Car B. "e project is right on schedule," WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson says. "ank you to all the members who are taking the stairs. at's going to be even more import- ant as we start work on the main passenger elevators." e service car is now operating with a new hoist motor and cables, among other upgrades, and cart transporta- tion is moving back out of the main cars. Next, Car B will go out of service for about three months, followed by the other two high-rise lis. OTHER CLUB PROJECTS • The new Member Services desk on the lobby level is open for most of your membership needs. Stop by and say hi! • The Noble Room renovation is complete, featuring new paint, wallpaper, and carpet along with enhanced lighting. • Inn at the WAC corridors are receiving new carpet, and the inn's elevator lobbies are getting new wallpaper. WAC Staircase Gallery Next time you take the grand stairway, make sure to enjoy the new art installation, by Foster White Gal- lery, featuring sculptor Tony Angell and mixed-media artist Eva Isaksen. Tony Angell: Longtime Seattle resident Tony Angell sketches Pacific Northwest wildlife with a particular focus on birds. Angell's highly detailed clayboard drawings capture the striking majesty of winged flight and resting birds alike. Eva Isaksen: Norwegian artist Eva Isaksen uses or- ganic materials to create intricate collages. Isaksen layers many monoprints to produce unique composi- tions, colors, lines, and forms that evoke the change and growth of nature.
