Athletics Open House March 15 Explore all the ways the WAC can help you achieve and maintain your fitness and wellness goals. Designed for WAC athletes of all levels, this event is a great way to break into the world of triathlon competition and training. Men's, women's, and coed beginners' heats available. Beginners' Tri Program April 6–July 27 Realize your dream of completing a triathlon this summer! Prepare to compete in the 2017 Seafair Triathlon alongside your fellow WAC members. This 16-week beginners' triathlon program includes a training calendar designed for you by coach Julie Vieselmeyer, biweekly workshops on training-related topics, weekly group work- outs, and a practice triathlon. When you register you'll also receive a gear package to get you started. u Biweekly Thursday meetings beginning April 6, 7:30–8:30 am, in the 8th Floor Card Room; $600. Register with Julie Vieselmeyer at tricoachjulie@gmail.com or 206.859.9981. 11th Annual WAC Kids Indoor Triathlon April 22 Join Coaches Will Hicks and Eric Williamson to run, bike and swim your way to fun. The WAC Kids Indoor Triathlon is a great opportunity to set goals and learn about training and nutrition. Make new friends and have a blast at this fun and active event. For ages 6–12. Participants must be able to safely swim at least 25 yards. Training ses- sions will be held 12–2 pm on Saturdays, April 1, 8 and 15. u 9–11:30 am; $40. Great for those with knee, hip, and other joint issues. u Wednesdays: 1:30–2:30 pm; Fridays: 10:45–11:45 am Cardio Express A 30-minute, low-impact water workout. u Mondays: 10:30–11 am Deep Water Aerobics This class offers a safe and challenging water-based workout that includes cardio conditioning and body toning in deep water. u Mondays: 11–11:45 am Fridays: 10–10:45 am Joints in Motion Ease joint and muscle pain with gentle range-of-motion, joint-mobility, and flexibility exercises. Great for those suffering from arthritis, muscle pain, stiffness or injury. u Wednesdays: 10:30–11 am Masters Swim Team Enhance endurance and im- prove stroke technique with organized workouts from Masters Coach Eric Williamson. Master swim- mers are encouraged to attend practice regularly and to compete.
