A Vietnamese tea ceremony followed in the Johnson Lobby Lounge, where Joong and Abe prayed at an ancestral altar and served tea to their parents. eir day concluded with a Korean wedding ceremony in the Crystal Ballroom followed by a night of dinner and dancing. CROSS-COUNTRY CONNECTION K ATI RUTHERFORD AND DENNIS SILLS OF Washington, D.C., traveled across the country to wed at the WAC. Kati, a Seattle native, knew about the WAC from her time as a local, and Dennis was eager to show his New England family Kati's hometown. "We wanted a spot that captured the best of the Pacific Northwest," Kati says. "e WAC's experience with wed- dings—as well as the great location and reputation—made it an easy decision." Traveling guests stayed at the Inn at the WAC, Kati and Dennis enjoyed a morning workout in the Club's fitness facilities, and Dennis relaxed with a shave from WAC barber Michael Small, who even helped him knot a perfect bowtie. "No one in the wedding party knew how to tie one," Dennis says. "He saved the day." The Crystal Ballroom accommodates parties of up to 250. FOOD & WINE: The Club offers a full range of catering services, from appetizers to dinners to wedding cakes. Most amenities are included. SUITE NIGHTS: The WAC offers a complimentary one-night stay in a luxury room at the Inn at the WAC for weddings of 100 people or more.
