Not only does Washington now boast over Winemaker Dinner explores Old World vintages 900 wineries, but we are also seeing an expanse of new varietals being grown and accepted by local connoisseurs. Tempranillo and Albarino—wines originating in Spain and Portugal, respectively—are two Old World grapes that Washington wine lovers have discovered and enjoy. e success of Tempranillo and Albarino in Washing- ton signals the forward movement of our state's vintners. is year's Winemaker Dinner will showcase some of this innovation and expansion.
