Get involved with the Special Olympics by donating money, participating in fundraisers, volunteering at events, or becoming a coach. Coaches with a passion for sports are always needed. Get ready to hit the slopes with free Xcelerate: Snow Flurry classes, Monday–Thursday at noon during November and December. We're also offering two bonus Saturday sessions from 12–12:45 pm on November 10 and December 12. Our Xcelerate: Snow Flurry classes are specially tailored to help you gain the strength, flexibility and endurance you need to succeed at skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and more. Draw a number before your workouts during November and then swim the corresponding number of laps. The top five members win a Thanksgiving turkey, compliments of the WAC. Registration is free. Sign up with a lifeguard on the pool deck. Pickleball Clinic Wednesday, November 9 Play Pickleball with pro Billy Jacobsen. He's hosting a clinic for WAC members and their guests. Learn from the man who has won over 50 men's singles and doubles medals during his career. Billy can help you improve your game or get The Main Event Friday & Saturday, January 27–28 Collegiate boxers from around the nation are coming to the WAC for two fight nights. Enjoy dinner, drinks and comedy in the Crystal Ballroom, followed by boxing on the 8th Floor. Dress to impress and sit ringside as the best collegiate boxers face off. 5 pm; $175 (single ticket), $300 (VIP single ticket), $1,320 (table of 8). The Morris Trophy honors the best collegiate linemen in Pac-12 football. American Red Cross CPR Training Saturday, December 10 Participants learn to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a two-year certification. Coursework includes adult, child and infant CPR. Advance registration is required.
