Letter from the President & CEO Chuck Nelson, President & Chief Executive Officer / cnelson@wac.net / @cnhuskies13 F amily, community and memories are things we speak of every day at the Washington Athletic Club. The beautiful Clubhouse and dedicated team are put in place to promote and accommodate and encourage these important values—a second home where members shape lifetime experiences and relationships. As a member of the WAC, you have the Club's commitment to be a part of your family, build your community, and help you create memories. The holiday season is built around the same things. Respecting and appreciating each other and the good things in our lives. Taking the time to be with those who mean the most to us, expressing thanks, and sharing joy. The WAC calendar through the end of the year has multiple opportunities to have a special day. These experiences, put together by our great Club Programs team, range from traditional to new and creative. They include longtime events such as Jubilee and the Mother Son Banquet, newer events such as Whiskey Blending & Tasting and a Starbucks Roastery Tour, classics such as the Holiday Shoppers Teas, and welcome escapes such as the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Continue a family tradition or start a new one! Going all the way to the founding of the WAC, the bylaws and cornerstone include a mission supporting and fostering athletics. Today, the Club has a wonderful partnership with Seattle University athletics, supporting its sports teams and student athletes. December 22 is WAC Night at KeyArena. It's a big night as Seattle University's men's basketball team will be hosting Washington. The WAC has complimentary tickets available for this spectacular rivalry game. Whether you're pulling for the Redhawks or Huskies, come on out! WAC members can see both hometown programs for free! For ticket details, see page 44. It is a great time of year. Make the most of it. Be good to each other and appreciate the good in the world. Thank you for making the WAC a part of your holiday season, Take your time
