coffee library, a retail store, and a Tom Douglas Serious Pie. It's a Wonka-esque experience of coffee, with beans traveling in clear and copper tubes from roasting, to brewing, to your cup. Begin your visit in the library for a region-style tasting of three coffees; brewing demonstrations using a Chemex and a French press; and a discussion on coffee- tasting basics, brewing techniques, and geographical influence on flavor. Then learn about the history and design of the building as well as the roasting plant operations with a guided tour through the roastery space. 2–3 pm; $25; cancel by November 7 N E W Wings Over Washington: A flying ride at Pier 57 Friday, February 24 Disneyland has the amazing "flying theater," Soarin' Over California. Now, Seattle has its very own version at Pier 57—Wings Over Washington! This new, fully themed, and immersive motion theater experience is one of the most technologically advanced multi-sensory flying rides in the world. Once strapped into your seat, you'll embark on an amazing journey as a "spirit eagle" takes you on a scenic flight over Washington State. The theater seats rise slightly and float with the film, creating the realistic sensation of flying. The entire ride experience is about 20 minutes, including preshow. Start with included lunch next door at The Fisherman's Restaurant. You will be provided with a pre-constructed gingerbread house, an abundance of candy, a large pastry bag of icing, and a box to take your masterpiece home. Members may reserve a maximum of four houses and a maximum of six people. The WAC invites Santa to the Club every year, and it's time again to reserve your spot with the jolliest man 67th Annual Mother Son Banquet: "Superheroes Unite" Friday, November 18 Superheroes report to the Crystal Ballroom in a flash to celebrate the 67th Mother Son Banquet. An action-packed evening is in store as all of the superheroes unite for dinner, fun, and a scavenger hunt to find the villain on the loose in the Clubhouse. Be a part of the adventure and help save the day. Come dressed as your favorite superhero. Your mission, if you choose to accept it: party, play, and take over the WAC!
