In 1984, the group released "Mannheim Steamroller Christmas," an album that became immensely popular. The group is known for its signature mixes of Renaissance instruments with rock-and-roll beats. The group's annual Christmas tour has become a tradition right along with decorating the tree, exchanging presents, and spending time with friends and family. Founder Chip Davis brought together the group more than 30 years ago, and its members continue to share their modern contemporary interpretations of yuletide favorites. 7:30 pm; $84 Cirque Dreams Holidaze December 20–22 Renowned director Neil Goldberg reimagines the holiday season with sparkle and suspense. Friday, December 20; 7:30 pm; $65 Sunday, December 22; 2 pm; $65 Jackie Evancho Thursday, December 12 Jackie Evancho's first performance on NBC's variety show America's Got Talent left audiences and judges astonished that such a perfect and beautiful soprano voice could come from a 10-year-old girl. The young soprano from Pittsburgh won runner-up and launched her career, signing with Columbia Records shortly thereafter. In a little more than two years, Evancho's unique and gorgeous voice has won her millions of fans, and her recordings have dominated the music and DVD charts. Now at age 13, Evancho has garnered the support of legendary music producers like David Foster and filmmakers such as Robert Redford. Her U.S. shows are constantly sold out and have been taped for broad- cast on PBS. In 2011, Jackie released her debut album, Dream With Me, a mix of operatic arias, show tunes, and pop standards.
