Book Club: James JULY 28 Join us for a thought- provoking discussion of Percival Everett's James, a bold reimagining of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Told from the perspective of Jim, the enslaved man at the heart of Mark Twain's classic, this novel brings depth, agency, and sharp social commentary to a familiar tale. Brunch & the Blues JULY 31 Start your morning with an exclusive front-row experience as the U.S. Navy Blue Angels take flight in Seattle for the first time this festival season. This unique event offers front-row access to their iconic "walk down" and takeoff just 150 feet away, followed by a WAC Blue Angels Cruise AUGUST 2 Join us for the WAC Blue Angels Cruise and experience the excitement of the Boeing Seafair Air Show up close. Connect with Blue Angels families and enjoy exclusive commentary from a former Blue Angels team member. Cruise the scenic waters of Lake Washington aboard Argosy's Lady Mary and savor a delicious lunch spread while enjoying the show skyward. Saturday; 1–5:30 pm. Reservations open Monday, June 2. Dock Night Concert at College Club AUGUST 5 Back by popular demand, we're returning to College Club Seattle for another unforgettable dock concert on the beautiful waters of South Lake Union. Be right on the water as a talented local Seattle band fills the air with live music. Enjoy the sounds of the concert while relaxing on the dock and bring your own picnic dinner to savor in between fun on the lake. The event also includes access to College Club's kayaks and paddleboards as well as two drink tickets. This event is for WAC members and guests ages 21-plus. Tuesday; 5:30–8 pm; $52 members/$62 guests. Cancel by July 30. Bridges & Brews Cruise AUGUST 7 Are you a history buff or just like to enjoy brews and a good cruise? You'll get both during our Bridges & Brews Cruise, where we'll learn about the history of Seattle's four 100-year-old bascule bridges and travel underneath them to get a unique perspective. We'll begin at Fishermen's Terminal and travel under the Ballard, Fremont, University, and Montlake bridges on Lake Union. Thursday; 6–8 pm; $65 members, $78 guests. Cancel by July 29.
