Our new- look homepage represents the website's first major design update in eight years. With a banner video, new content, and more flexibility than ever, the redesigned homepage is the first step in an ongoing overhaul of the WAC's web presence. It's also a move toward better complement- ing the WAC app and offering more cohe- sive information about the Club. "e WAC app really removed the website's need to operate as a reservation engine and opened the door to some new design approaches," Director of New homepage Spring Open House Making soccer history Platinum Award Communications Darrick Meneken says. "We want wac.net to showcase the amaz- ing things that take place at the Club and appeal to long-time users as well as prospective members who are learning about the WAC for the first time." "If you're not getting WAC notifications, you're missing critical infor- mation from the Club," Darrick says. e WAC app launched in February 2023. More than 3,400 members have installed the app, and more than 2,300 use it monthly. Website redesign work will continue throughout this year, and improve- ments to search engine optimization are already underway. "We're working with some great partners and looking forward to what's next," Darrick says.
