But I realize even that cannot possibly express how grateful I am to have had the honor and respon- sibility of serving in this role. I strongly believe that we all want to be part of something special, to feel connected to an entity or cause larger than ourselves, that satisfaction and fulfillment and contentment come from being engaged with others and building and contributing to a greater good. e WAC is that special place, and I am honored to be a part of it. It has been a privilege, not a job, to be President & CEO—to have worked with so many wonderful people at this storied insti- tution that means so much to the Seattle community. I am proud of the evolution of the Club during my time here, how together we have courageously pushed through the challenges and moments for change during this historic time. We have accomplished an abundance of impactful projects and programs and had a great deal of fun along the way. I could not possibly have had a better professional life, including getting to spend the last 13 years doing very satisfying work with a fantastic group of people, with a shared commitment and appreciation for the Club. I am very excited about what the future holds for the Washington Athletic Club. e team and leadership of the WAC remain strong, the city continues to find its footing, and there are many successes ahead. Nanette and I have made great friends and cre- ated a lifetime of wonderful memories. e membership's passion for the WAC and support and encouragement for us has been a powerful source of inspiration and joy. THANK YOU! With boundless gratitude, @cnhuskies13 Chuck Nelson President & CEO cnelson@wac.net
