In memoriam: Ron Couden Beliefs Statement At the WAC, we believe in our diverse, inclusive community. We believe that love and respect are stronger than hate. We believe that together is stronger than divided. We believe in Seattle. Aer last year's summer like no other, the summer of 2021 promises to be, well, a summer like no other. Transition, joy, anxiety and encouragement—all swirling together in a multi-tiered balancing act as we work our way into re-engaging and re-entering the various communities that make up our lives. Whether you return to work or work from home, if you are in the city full-time or once in a while, our goal at the WAC is to be part of every day downtown. For personal or professional pursuits, the WAC and its community of members and team members are committed to being the best part of your day. Eat, drink, work, play! Enjoy it all at the corner of Sixth and Union. is is a place that makes your life better! Enormous gratitude is called for to outgoing Chairman Gregg Blodgett for his tremendous contributions to the WAC in this fascinating year. And welcome and congratulations to Jason Hamilton, who assumes the role of Chairman of the Board of Governors on August 1. Forward we go! @cnhuskies13 Chuck Nelson President & CEO cnelson@wac.net Summer is here! Not only are the days longer and warmer, but we also are able to start enjoying them more as the pandemic winds down. I, for one, am elated! As I wrap up my year as WAC Chairman, I've been reflecting on what a strange year it has been. It has gone both very fast and quite slowly. e normal whirlwind of in- person activities moved at a more measured pace. On one hand, it's been gratifying to experience how WAC management and Board leadership pulled together through the pandemic and prepared the Club for a solid and exciting future. On the other hand, it was disappointing that I didn't get a chance to meet and socialize with more of you. I'd like to welcome Jason Hamilton as 2021–2022 Chairman. Having worked with Jason through the years, I know the Club will be in very capable hands. I'd also like to offer a fond farewell to retiring CFO Paul Lowber. I've known Paul for over 40 years. is past year, when we needed him most, his impressive skill set truly shined. anks, Paul! I hope to see all of you around the Club very soon.
