With any luck, it will be here to stay! As you plan your next getaway, check out our online reciprocal club map for insights into our partner clubs. ere's no better way to get the inside scoop on a new city than by visiting a reciprocal club! We always welcome member sugges- tions for new clubs as possible addi- tions to our network. One such club we recently added upon member recom- mendation is the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena, California. e club is most noted for starting the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1890 and offers swim- ming, tennis, and fine dining. It's also lauded as very family-oriented. We have partnerships with more than 130 U.S. and 85 international clubs. You'll find them all on our interactive map along with services available—e.g., fitness, hotel, pool. To explore, just click the green location markers. Many clubs still have restrictions on their offerings, so make sure to contact them directly to see what's available be- fore your visit. As travel picks up again, surf our reciprocal map Pasadena's Valley Hunt Club is our newest partner By Amanda Brynn, Director Member Services & Club Programs My year as Program Board Chair was nothing short of crazy, and I can honestly say I missed the Washington Athletic Club—lunches at Ha- gerty's, racquetball, and, of course, happy hour with friends. Now that the COVID-19 pandemic is nearing its end, I am glad to be getting back to the Club. I joined the WAC in 2012 as an opportunity to network and take part in all the social activities the Club has to offer. As a new mem- ber, I heard about the 20s/30s Committee from a former colleague and decided to join. The 20s/30s Committee not only opened doors to multiple friendships, but I also met my future wife at a WAC Tub- ing & Brews event. Now we have two beautiful children together. As our family has grown, so has our use of the Club, which includes a multitude of family activities. During the past few years, I have had the opportunity to see the inner workings of the WAC, and I must extend a special thank-you to Senior Event Manager Mary Ellen Jilek. She continues to go above and beyond planning activities, and she created a host of new virtual and hybrid events during the pandemic slowdown. Thank you for everything, Mary Ellen! I encourage all WAC members to sign up for a Club Programs event planning committee. The experience will give you better in- sights into the Club and allow you to shape the offerings available to fellow members.
