WAC members gathered virtually on
Wednesday, December 16, to mark
the 90th anniversary of the Club. Our
Toast to 90 online party celebrated nine
decades of bringing the best of wellness,
athletics and community to the city of
Seattle. Members picked up their "Wonder
Boxes" of WAC cuisine and sparkling
wine at the Clubhouse and perused
historical photos and artifacts spread
throughout the lobby level. ey also en-
joyed a champagne toast, ice sculptures,
and some socially distanced laughs exactly
90 years to the day from the WAC's
grand opening in 1930. e celebration
continued at home with a Zoom event
live from the Crystal Ballroom featuring
a deejay, food and wine presentations,
and Club giveaways. President & CEO
Chuck Nelson and Chairman of the
Board Gregg Blodgett hosted the event,
which wrapped up with a social hour
and final liing of glasses. Cheers to 90
years of the Washington Athletic Club!
