He immediately excelled at his responsibilities, and his dedication and willingness to help wherev- er needed stood out. Two years later, he was promoted to Pantry Cook, where he has prepped food for the day shift ever since. Dmytro also assists with plating for banquet events. "Dmytro is a consummate professional," Vice President Food & Beverage Peter Christian says. "He knows his pantry job like no one else and happily trains others." Executive Chef Eric Floyd agrees. "Dmytro is friendly, kind and trust- worthy," Eric says. PATRAS MAHTAB BANQUET HOUSEMAN Patras Mahtab came to the WAC in 2014 with 25 years of banquet experience. During his time here, his attention to detail, high standards, and leadership skills have all shone brightly. "Patras always ensures that our many rooms are set up correctly and meet the expectations of our members and clients," Director Catering Sales Rick Cardona says. "His friendly demeanor and welcoming nature make event attendees feel happy and accommodated." Patras works varying schedules set by the demands of the business, sometimes working into the early morning. Patras says he enjoys his job and that his favorite part is the great people he works with. ZAKK ROGERS JUNIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR If you're going to talk about exemplary service, you need to talk about Zakk Rog- ers. So says WAC Controller Trina Doty. A team member since 2018, Zakk juggles requests from WAC team members across departments as well as members experiencing IT problems in the Clubhouse. "Zakk helps with forgotten passwords, uncooperative printers, equipment purchases, and broken logins, all with a joke and a smile," Trina says. "His job can be very stressful, but you would never know that by the attention and time he dedicates to fixing your problems." Says Zakk: "The greatest part of this job is everyone else," he says. JARED JOHNSTON RESTAURANT OPERATIONS MANAGER Jared Johnston consistently strives for excellence and creates a climate of contin- uous improvement while also mentoring his managers and team members. "Jared is a great manager—caring, patient, and consistent in his style and direction of his team," Vice President Food & Beverage Peter Christian says. "He also always finds the best outcomes for our members no matter the situation." The entire restaurant team says they've benefited greatly from having a hardworking and reliable manager like Jared. "This is my home away from home," Jared says. "I appreciate this honor because it feels like it's coming from family." club life teamworks
