Our beautiful landmark art deco 1930 clubhouse must highlight its nine decades of beauty and provide the facilities and features expect- ed in 2019 and beyond. Our fantastic Club Programs team loves to produce time-honored an- nual events dating back to the WAC's founding and create unique first-time adventures. Most WAC members have a favorite workout class or routine and a desire for the latest and greatest fitness equipment and offerings. Our Food & Beverage team serves time-honored favorites daily and keeps up with the hottest restaurant and bar trends. Wherever you look at the WAC, team members and member leaders are com- mitted to being stewards of the Club's past and advocates for the Club's future. is annual look at the highlights of the past fiscal year is always a testament to this commitment to the history and fu- ture of the WAC. e past twelve months provided countless unique experiences, family gatherings, and athletic accom- plishments—members' lives enriched through the happenings within our 20 floors and via our support of the Seattle and regional community. As you enjoy this timeline of the year gone by, allow me to highlight a couple of especially proud moments for the WAC. e first is the recognition of the WAC Clubhouse on the National Register of Historic Places—a tribute to the beauti- ful building and the WAC's role in the Seattle community. e second is the WAC once again being named a 5 Star Platinum Club of America and one of the top five city ath- letic clubs in the country. is requires excellence in every area of the Club and is a commendation to the membership and staff for being among the best in the world of club hospitality. e next few pages of our wonder- ful WAC Magazine—the magazine also had a great year—tell the story of how and why all this happened.
