JANUARY / FEBRUARY 2019 47 To see newlyweds Alison and Jens Pascucci carried around the Crystal Ballroom in their chairs is to view the perfect combina- tion of excitement and fear. e moment, immortalized by the Pascuccis' photographer, is one of countless wedding memories created by couples who have wed and celebrated at the WAC. For WAC members Alison and Jens, the WAC Clubhouse was the clear choice for their wedding. "We wanted an elegant evening that would not only celebrate our love but also celebrate all of the friends and family that we love," Alison says. e couple's ceremony and reception took place this past sum- mer in the Crystal Ballroom, and guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in between in the Johnson Lobby Lounge. Alison and Jens first met at a different wedding, in Denver, five years earlier. Between that wedding and their own, they attended 22 others as a couple. "We spent a lot of time dreaming up what we would want for our own wedding," Alison says. When their turn arrived, the couple opted for a soer pal- ette and decorations, letting the natural elegance of the Crystal Ballroom impress itself on their 186 guests. Flowers and metallic votives trimmed the tables, and a four-tiered cake garnished in golden ribbon reflected the room's three stately chandeliers. "We wanted a wedding that would showcase the city that we lived in and would provide our guests with a comfortable envi- ronment in which to celebrate," Jens says. Jens and his groomsmen prepared for the ceremony in the Presidents Suite while Alison and her bridesmaids dressed in the Elliott Bay Suite, overlooking Puget Sound. "e WAC was an easy choice," Alison says. "Ultimately, the event was flawless."
