From the Chairman and President & CEO A time of renewal With the turning of the calendar, and the arrival of the new year, we are provided with the perfect opportunity to look forward and renew our commitment to ourselves, our families, our friends, our colleagues and, of course, our club. We all set goals for the new year. e more difficult part is keeping these commit- ments. is issue of WAC Magazine focuses on renewal. Browse its pages and make sure to check out the feature story starting on page 40. In addition, your fellow members and WAC team members can be great advocates for your fitness and health goals. Last year, I set a personal goal to get to the Club more oen in an effort to get in better shape. With plenty of encour- agement—and plenty of humor—the crews on the 5th and 6th floors did their best to keep me honest. It worked, and I'm committing to the same goal, among others, in 2019. My stated goal at the beginning of my tenure as WAC Chairman was to work to encourage and improve member engagement. In the past five months, the WAC has hosted 63 events and saw Jubilee tickets sell out faster than any year in recent memory. All told, more than 800 members and their guests attended our annual gala. January is the perfect time to explore your Club and figure out how it fits into your New Year's goals. I promise there is something you haven't tried yet that you're going to love.
