Printing blocks 58 WAC Magazine | wac.net WAC ARTIFACT Hot off the press ese letterpress printing blocks built early copies of WAC News. Since the Club's inception in 1930, there has always been a member dispatch. Back then, broadsheet paper announced hard-hitting bulletins, such as the installation of "Four new apple vending machines stocked with Yakima and Wenatchee fruit," a missive featured in an October 1931 issue. Celebrity sightings made the pages, too, with a July 1954 newsletter fea- turing a visit from none other than television star Ed Sullivan, who attended an athletics award banquet at the Club. Members must have been in for a "really big shew" that evening! Now- adays, WAC Magazine is your source for everything exciting around the Club ... along with email announcements and the WAC app, of course! Support the preservation of WAC history and our historic Clubhouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with a donation to the WAC Foundation.
