Artist Reception with Steffon Moody MAY 11 Come for a special evening with artist Steffon Moody, who finds a unique balance between his role as a digital arts professor and his passion for traditional fine art. In a world of digital feeds, Steffon uses oil, ink, and charcoal to "slow down time" and create what he calls "little eternities" on canvas. His work celebrates the physical connection between the artist and the object, favoring the human vision over the complex machine. Monday; 5–7 pm; complimentary. Book Club: "Everything Is Tuberculosis" by John Green MAY 18 John Green's "Everything Is Tuberculosis" is not a medical textbook but a vibrant collection of his signature essays and short works. Green blends sharp wit, intellectual curiosity, and deeply personal philosophy. Spanning topics from obscure historical footnotes and the absurdity of pop culture to the complex beauty of human connection, Green invites readers into his unique headspace, where everything can be dissected and examined with hilarious insight. It's a journey through the messy, beautiful world, proving that vulnerability and self-deprecating humor are the best tools for understanding the human condition.
