As the owner of her own business, A.L.A. Consulting Firm, Anquida has found her pro- fessional home at the Club. A.L.A. Consulting provides crisis management, diversity, and inclusion training, and Anquida says the WAC has helped her achieve her personal goals and grow her business. Anquida oen hosts clients in Torchy's and works out on the 7th Floor five days a week. When looking for new people to join the WAC community, Anquida con- siders a few key things. "If they want to have fun and create long-standing connections, I know this is the space for them," she says. Bill Smead Born and raised in Washougal, Bill Smead moved east aer high school to pursue an economics degree at Walla Walla's Whitman College. Aer graduating in 1980, Bill moved to Seattle, where he began his career in investment advising. Bill joined the WAC five years later at the urging of his col- leagues. He has since founded Smead Capital Management, which sponsors the initiation fee for employees who want to join the WAC. When Bill is in town—his company also has offices in London—he works out regularly on the 5th Floor. "e WAC is my oasis and my fraternity," he says. He recalls meeting Dan Evans, former U.S. senator and Washington governor, at the Club.
