The annual 25-day festival is known for its eclectic programming with over 450 features, short films, and documentaries from more than 80 countries. We've invited Beth Barrett, SIFF's artistic director, to give us a sneak preview of some of the films being featured during this year's festival, which runs May 17–June 10. You'll have a chance to learn about and view trailers of several films. SIFF is recognized as one of the top film festivals in North America. Café Nordo—Pioneer Square's immersive theater and dining experience—presents the show Smoked! In a spin on spaghetti westerns, actor Ray Tagavilla channels Clint Eastwood as stiff drinks, paired with four themed courses, are served against the sun setting on a town at the end of its rope. Backed by the house band, Smoked! unfurls with the slow burn of a Sergio Leone film. Hungry theatergoers are in for an evening of dirty dealings, high stakes, and heartsick cow- boys.
