40 WAC Magazine | wac.net club programs events JUNE 03 Holland America N Line Ship Tour with Cruise Specialists Enjoy an extraordinary cruise experience aboard the ms Amsterdam without leaving Seattle. Meet at Pier 91 to board the ship for a special welcome and a tour led by Cruise Specialist experts. We will explore the ship from bow to stern and see the crow's nest, lido deck, casino, main stage, dance venues, and Club HAL. End the tour in the La Fontaine Dining room with a re- laxing glass of wine and lunch. Attendees must be 21 years or older and must provide date of birth, proof of citizenship, and passport or driver's license at the time of registration. No name changes can be made after cancellation date. Photo identification will be required to board the ship. Space for this special experience is limited to 40 people. The WAC is taking over Safeco Field for a day of ballpark fun and beer. Let's pregame at Sodo's 13 Coins for brunch-style eats and then get to the ballpark in time for the first pitch. The Lookout Landing outdoor terrace, with its picturesque views of Elliott Bay and the cityscape, will serve as the WAC home base. A ballpark buffet will be served during the game and feature all stadium favorites. So let's head to the ballgame for an afternoon of summertime mixing and mingling. Event includes pregame appetizers and one drink, Mariners game ticket, ballpark buffet, and two beer/ wine tickets. This event is for WAC members and guests who are 21-plus. u Sunday; 11 am pregame, 1:10 first pitch; $99; noncan- celable/nonrefundable 09 Surf & Turf Dinner on the Schooner Zodiac N Our Sunday brunch aboard the Zodiac sold out so quickly that we're offering an evening cruise with a surf and turf dinner on the same ship. The Zodiac, a classic 160- foot 1920s yacht, is based in Bellingham but is sailing in Seattle for one week. Begin with no-host drinks as you glide over the waters of Lake Union and Lake Washington. While aboard, tour below- deck areas such as the ship's chart house, galley, and salon. Then, sip a cocktail and enjoy dinner while you sail into the Seattle sunset. Simon will provide you with the knowledge, tips, and tricks to incorporate stylish painting styles into your collection of talents. This class is open to anyone who is interested in learning the techniques and style of watercolor. You will leave with your completed project, a technique sheet, and mate- rials to help you continue to paint at home.
