Team Members By Krista S. Andrews, HR & Benefits Committee Chair Thanking our team members I We may never see them, but we can improve their holidays care most about. It's also the time of year that we, as WAC members, can express our thanks and gratitude to the team members who give of themselves every day so we can enjoy our award-winning club. The WAC gives each of us a place to retreat and t's hard to believe the holidays are upon us again. This is the time of year we gather with friends and family to celebrate relationships and exchange gifts with those we Nonetheless, as members we continue to receive award- winning personalized service year after year. In 2012, the WAC received its sixth consecutive Five Star Platinum Club of America award. This level of consistent world-class service is difficult to achieve in any industry, and WAC members benefit from this effort every time we visit our Club. This month you'll see the Team Member Appreciation recharge, providing that elusive life balance for which we all strive. Within a single building, the WAC allows each of us to enjoy a full suite of athletic and social activities. We play basketball, work out, take yoga classes, swim, enjoy the Spa, learn about improved nutrition, enjoy great meals, experience Winemaker Dinners, gather with friends, enjoy four-star hotel accommodations, and experience terrific cultural events throughout the city. Some 350 team members help make it all happen. It's estimated that most of us interact with less than 25 percent of our team. The remaining team members work behind the scenes, late at night, or early in the morning. Whatever the case, most members likely don't see them or interact with them. but we make a life by what we give." —WINSTON CHURCHILL "We make a living by what we get, Gift on your WAC monthly statement. We have increased the suggested annual donation by $5 to $45 this year. The HR & Benefits Committee felt this was a reasonable increase given the continued achievement of our team members. For many of them, the annual distribution of this fund represents the ability to buy holiday gifts and celebrate with their families. Your donations are distributed at the annual Team Member Holiday Party and exclude executives. The intent is to recognize the efforts of team members we don't often have a chance to thank personally. I encourage you to give more, but hope at a minimum you'll wholeheartedly support our suggested donation. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday season.
