WAC President & CEO Chuck Nelson delivers keynote address. Paul Ravetta begins as 2016–2017 WAC Chairman. Renovations bring improved facilities to the 7th Floor women's locker room shower area and new carpet to the 6th Floor men's area. The WAC receives its eighth consecutive 5 Star Platinum Club of America award and makes the top-five list for private athletic clubs in the country. The Games will take place in Seattle in July 2018. A new scoreboard arrives in the 8th Floor gym. NOVEMBER WAC Catering serves 340 members and guests at its annual Thanks- giving dinner buffet. WAC leaders announce a fitness and wellness partnership with Madison Centre, a new high-rise at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Madison Street in downtown Seattle. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS MEMBERSHIP CONNECTION LISTENING A relaxing gondola trip on Gig Harbor bay sees members serenaded while gliding over serene waters. The Noble Room receives new paint, wallpaper, carpet, and enhanced lighting. Penton Mott wins the 2016 Membership All-Star grand prize—reserved parking for one year in the WAC Garage. The Elevator Modernization Project begins. Goodbye 1929 motors! The WAC wins the North American Association of Club Athletic Directors 2016 Athletic Event of the Year for the Sorensen & Scholz Collegiate Rugby Player of the Year Awards dinner and ceremony.
