You and your team are locked in a room with a funny but ravenous zombie chained to the wall. Hidden in the room is a key that will unlock the door to your freedom. Every five minutes the hungry zombie's chain gets longer and longer and within an hour the zom- bie will be able to reach you. You and your fellow zombie bait will have 60 minutes to discover numerous clues and solve puzzles to locate the key and escape the room without getting eaten. It's perfect pre-Halloween fun and a thrilling night out with friends and fellow WAC mem- bers. We can all draw what we see, but un- derstanding how to use your eyes and hand in conjunction can help you improve your skills. Lael Williams is an art educator who is coming to the WAC to help you embrace your inner artist. You'll begin by remembering yourself as an artist at a young age and finish the class with two to three drawings. u Tuesday; 6–8 pm; $60; cancel by October 3 19 Seattle Walks with Author David Williams N Seattle is growing around us but it remains one of the most walkable cities in the nation. David Williams—ge- ologist and author of Seattle Walks: Discovering History and Nature in the City—will teach you about 17 walks that vary in length and topography. Come hear how each walk explores history, architecture, plants, geology, and curious features such as two underground bun- kers. Williams' program will show you how the past has affected the present and how we still have nature in our concrete jungle. His book on walks appeals to newcomers and longtime residents alike.
