Lasting 11 months and visiting six continents, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will drop anchor in Seattle for a fortnight this April. Connect with a tradition of sailing excellence. Join us as we greet one of the arriving crews— no matter what time of day or night— and offer a hearty WAC welcome. Join our ninth annual scavenger hunt and lead your 10-person team around the lake by electric Duffy boat (those cute dinghies with the canopies). e winning team gets a year's worth of bragging rights. Catered food and soft drinks provided, and non-cap- tains can bring their own beer and wine. Perfect for singles, couples or groups. 6–9 pm; $68 Friday,July 22 over the water boeing seafair air show e U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be back at the WAC leading up to and during the Boeing Seafair Air Show. Rub shoulders around the Club with the pilots and crew, and look skyward for their aerial feats during Seafair Weekend, August 5–7. Saturday–Sunday; August 6–7 Duck dodge cruise Climb aboard for a Seattle summertime tradition—the Duck Dodge. A weekly Tuesday night boat race, the Duck Dodge is a for-fun regatta followed by seaward socializing. We'll watch the race from the deck of a spectator boat as dinghies, cutters, and sloops dart around Lake Union. Add your name to our priority waitlist for reservations.
