"ese re-reads give me the chance to get into great, huge volumes of literature that give you the essence of each author." omas' father was a Life Member of the Los Angeles Athletic Club, and the family traveled to reciprocal clubs around the world. omas first visited the WAC in the 1960s. Nowadays, during extended summer stays at the Inn, he oen visits Folio: e Seattle Athenaeum, a nonprofit mem- bership library and cultural center in Pike Place Market.
