WINTER / SPRING 2025 25 living fit squash tips Instructor Insights With WAC Squash Pro Latasha Khan Latasha Khan knows squash. e WAC Squash Pro is an 11-time national champion with 20-plus years of coaching experience. Latasha holds two Pan American Games gold medals and one silver. Most recently, she was inducted into the United States Squash Hall of Fame. Here, she shares her expertise for squash players new to the court and seasoned. ese three simple tips form the backbone of playing well in this high-intensity, fast-moving sport. Hit under the ball Achieve height and length on your shot by getting under the ball. Bring your racquet back This gives you control and options in selecting your shot. Step into the ball with your racquet back and strike when the ball is in front of you. Practice volleying Volleying involves hitting the ball in the air before it bounces. This is a great way to take advantage of the walls.
